First Snow, January 2005
We took Tyler and Sabrina to Sacramento for a weekend with
Dick and Carol. On Saturday we drove up Highway 50 to a
snow
park just south of Lake Tahoe. This was Tyler's first
contact with snow and a welcome return for Sabrina. We
bundled him up but the temps were in the high 40's with
brilliant sunshine. |
|
Christmas 2004
Tyler's second official Christmas brought an increased level
of participation on his part. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed
his presence as much as he enjoyed being around them. |
|
San Diego visit
Millie, Sabrina, Tyler and I loaded the family truckster
and braved our first familiy road trip. Tyler did very
well on the drive and Sabrina weathered his presence with
aplomb. We stayed overnight on the edge of the Grapevine
and then zoomed into San Diego the following day.
Our visit was wonderful. Tyler was able to catch up with
family and, thanks to Grandma Joyce, we were able to catch
up on our sleep. Tyler had free range access to much of
Grandma's house and he explored with joy. Sabrina retreated
periodically to the guest room.
After waiting out a much overblown storm we headed home.
The promised traffic and snow of the Grapevine had turned
to a clear winter day, as Millie's pictures demonstrate.
This is a large gallery so make a snack before viewing. |
|
Tyler visits Drake
This past Monday Tyler joined me during my homeroom period
at Drake. Yes, I could bring him to school everyday and
have no shortage of help. The photos are proof. |
|
An
afternoon at the Nash's 12-12-04
We paid a visit to David and Susanna's house this afternoon.
Their son was born two days after Tyler and their daughter
Lindsay is a polite three year old. As a result, their
house is toddler proofed and relaxing. |
|
Red Christopher's Graduation 12-11-04
Today Red became a doctor of chiropractic as he received
his diploma from Life

of a great deal of hard work and a 43 mile one way commute. |

Portraits,
July 2004
We braved the maul (pun intended) for our first official
family portraits. We led Sabrina and Tyler to the studio
and engaged in a mild circus atmosphere. Tyler did well,
giggling when the photographer worked to get his attention.
Sabrina thought that she was being called so she would
hop up from her spot, leaving dog hair on their milky white
backdrop. Very funny. |
|
Visit with Annie, Millie's Godmother
We joined Annie in the city for lunch and then drove across
the bridge for a fog-free view of the Golden Gate Bridge. |
|

the fourth. Tyler received a fair amount of attention. |

Tyler took it all in stride. I think that he enjoyed the
people watching the most-as long as we were holding him. |
|
Anniversary
With Tyler enjoying himself at daycare, Millie and I loaded
up the bikes and went for a 20 mile ride through the Valley
of the Moon in Sonoma. The weather was perfect and the
traffic was light. |
|
Father's day
Tyler let me sleep in, with Millie's help, and then we visited
my dad for this shared father's day. The day ended with
a walk for both children. |
